Composable business services specific to this industry are why banks buy a digital banking platform versus an industry-agnostic digital channel platform. These capabilities are domain specific, and can include (but are not limited to) bank-specific channel capabilities like digital account opening and onboarding, optical character recognition for mobile check deposit, or budgeting tools. They can also include capabilities abstracted from other critical banking systems, like product management, transactional activity, customer data management, payments, loan origination, cash management, treasury management and payroll fraud detection.
Common platform services are typical of most channel platforms and not necessarily specific to banking. They are capabilities related to composing the business services into journeys in a low-code/no-code environment, as well as other common composable services. These include, but are not limited to, security, entitlement and access, cross-channel capabilities, alerts and notifications, and service support tools (e.g., chat, secure messaging).
Modern data and analytics capabilities include (but are not limited to) predictive analytics, data contextualization, product data transformation, customer data hubs, and insight generation and administration.
