Any job function that relies primarily on these functions will be impacted.  I'm most excited about content moderation....there have never been great tools to monitor comments or other bulk/public feedback which is why scams and hatespeech are so prolific on platforms.

In primary industry it is being used in beef factories to slice up carcasses, and for fish that are filleted (like large salmon) to slice the fish. This is removing workers from these environments and reducing costs.
For Health and Safety, AI is being used to monitor worker behaviour, such as walking too close to moving vehicles in a warehouse. The monitoring of workers by AI can highlight which workers moved within a predefined distance from the vehicle and allow the managers to increase training and awareness.

AI technology for an organization that is not developing new AI tech but consuming it, its going to be a Performance enhancer across the value chain.
Think of it like when electricity was invented and it was distributed effectively lot of lifestyle , industrial etc got transformed from grounds up. Factories that could only operate at day time , can now work for 24 hours. Lot of Automation is brought to the table with various machines being invented. 


I am foreseeing the biggest benefit should be in health care sector.  The reason is currently in the world we can produce lot of Medicine but we dont have enough doctor to diagnose a patient on time and prescribe the right medicine.


I certainly feel startups are working to convert a Doctor brain & Diagnosis into some AI system so that we can create replica of a doctor. Even when doctor is sleeping the AI system of that doctor is working and helping patient. As doctor gains new knowledge, the right training the AI system will also get enhanced . 


Similarly the drug discovery, it takes years for a new drug to come to Market. With AI i strongly feel the cycle will be much shorter because of synthesis of various scenarios and combinations can  be digitized.  If i understand better, Google Deepmind is already unfolded many protein structure using AI. Digitally new drugs chemical structure can be tested on AI unfolded Protein structure and drug manufacturer can see the impact before even human trial or animal trial.

I'm going to fall back on the game-changing AI opportunities linked to 'machines as customers' and 'machine to machine' interfaces. I agree with peer comments on personalisation from the customer perspective as example - very valid. Where I see the cross-industry evolution is where the 'person' and also 'time' can be practically removed from the equation - quite literally. Who build and controls these platforms over which these interactions process will potentially completely transform the business models of many existing companies and it's a very exciting prospect to dig into and engage with. The challenge is the companies already on this topic - and we know who they are - will they disrupt your business tomorrow? So 'add to my list' 5. Machines as Customers.....

As pervasive innovation more than apps or platforms it will impact on processes and workflows leading a change management.

- Education paths - becoming a doctor is not going to be the top choice to a student, as AI can guide students based on their performance and ways of learning. &#34;the distribution of careers is going to shift which can cause a major disruption in the work-force&#34;.
- Children&#39;s way of thinking - AI will make basic tasks like reading and writing and drawing obsolete, these are essential parts of the child&#39;s growth need to develop specific parts of the brain.
- Teaching methods - Teachers play a role in a student&#39;s life, as unconventional teaching methods come to view, teachers will have to adopt them to support the new generation resulting in a shortage of qualified personnel. 
- IOT analysis - AI can go to the bits and bites of these devices, with the right processing power, AI can and will provide a one time set up deal for all new IOT&#39;s removing the need to have a human.

When we originally implemented this we had Intersystems Educators come to us and they provided in-person training. We have dedicated managers who are familiar with our configurations to guide us. They also have a support system that connects us to Intersystems experts to troubleshoot more nuanced tasks.

While Intersystems HealthShare is a collection of sophisticated software, their view of the HIE industry appears to be, we know what you need so shut up and do as we say.  The Illinois HIE chose them as our vendor and we were initially quite excited.  What we quickly discovered is that one key to a successful HIE is a robust onboarding process.  Intersystems convinced us they had one but after a few years of attempting to onboard people from some clinics we discovered that not only was their algorithm flawed, that wasn't much of a concern of theirs.  They continued to attempt to tweak the algorithm rather than taking a broader view.  Things continued to degenerate from there.  There were other problems with our own orientation, the State of Illinois' policy around HIEs, and clients who wanted the benefit of an HIE but who were not willing to really dedicate the resources for success.  So Intersystems was a part of the problem with the Illinois HIE, but certainly not the only problem.  I retired out of government in 2015 so this review reflects that.  Much could have changed in the intervening years.

The product works well but it's not very user friendly, the UI is outdated and you nedd a lot of clicks to get to one place

We use InterSystems HealthShare and HealthConnect products. The overall experience has been good. We are upgrading the product to be able to leverage all that InterSystems can offer.
