Customers expectations will be that production customer experiences will not produce 'unsafe' responses, even if the user baits them into doing so.

The immediate benefits will be in marketing, where the need for copywriters and digital designers will quickly be removed. Instead, Marketing Managers can convert their briefs into digital assets directly using generative AI for text and video/image creation.

In many cases they are already consuming it, and most SaaS solutions are embedding into their platforms, that to me will be the bulk, in-workflow-AI. Then, whenever you see a business that 1) has proprietary data 2) data is reasonably good shape 3) data can augment business model or product or service, then you have second group of opportunities the in-product-AI.

Its applications range from automated decision-making, enhancing customer experiences, predictive analytics, process automation, to bolstering cybersecurity. Enterprises are using AI in many practical ways. First, they're making interactions feel more personal and human-like. Chatbots in customer service (Conversational AI) aren’t just giving standard replies anymore. They've become smart helpers, understanding our needs just like a store assistant might.


In the health sector, companies are using AI to speed up research. Instead of waiting years for answers, researchers are getting results faster. I believe , AI played a big role in finding the COVID vaccine quickly.


But it's not just about making tasks faster or easier. Companies, especially mine, are deeply invested in environmental concerns. We're utilizing AI to gauge our environmental impact, understand huge datasets, and drive research initiatives. In our quest to understand and reduce carbon footprints, we're harnessing AI-powered Low-Level Models (LLM) and other advanced tools. Our research focuses include net-zero carbon initiatives and scaling Electric Vehicle (EV2Scale) technologies. AI has become an indispensable asset in these research area, helping to shape a more sustainable future.


So, as we look ahead, it’s clear that enterprises aren’t just using AI as a fancy tool. They're making it a core part of how they operate, making sure it's used responsibly for everyone's benefit.

Artificial intelligence is, without a doubt, a game-changing innovation. Like the introduction of the internet or big data, it will spawn new business methods. The real value of artificial intelligence will be evident when applied to every facet of an enterprise, from processing massive amounts of data to identifying important insights and anticipating future trends. Not only will this aid in cutting costs, but it will also open up new doors rapidly and precisely. 


It&#39;s nothing new; AI has been there for a while, quietly improving things in the background. With the advent of GenerativeAI, however, enterprises will now be able to create content using LLMs and Deep Learning assisted models and then present it in a way that is more accessible to humans. AI will penetrate every level within the enterprise because of the adaptability of the technology and the many ways to gain deeper insights at a lower cost. 


In fact, I&#39;ve noticed that several businesses are investing in the necessary infrastructure to allow numerous AI models for be used or consumed across their whole enterprise. 

What are real ways enterprises will consume AI?

Multiple areas but coding as co-pilot. One area that we believe AI will be used more effectively is summarizing of content to make it easier for domain experts to write opinions be it tax, health, legal or regulatory compliance.

I'm assuming you mean generative AI, whose core capabilities are: Content Generation, Summarization, Code Generation, and Semantic Search.


Any job function that relies primarily on these functions will be impacted.  I'm most excited about content moderation....there have never been great tools to monitor comments or other bulk/public feedback which is why scams and hatespeech are so prolific on platforms.

Agriculture: AI enhances crop health analysis through satellite imagery, forecasts disease outbreaks, and refines irrigation methods.


Energy Storage: AI determines optimal energy storage and release times, boosting the efficiency of major battery systems and storage solutions.


Grid Management: AI aids in real-time load and source balancing, ensuring consistent energy supply and minimizing blackout risks.

The monitoring of workers by AI can highlight which workers moved within a predefined distance from the vehicle and allow the managers to increase training and awareness.

When we originally implemented this we had Intersystems Educators come to us and they provided in-person training. We have dedicated managers who are familiar with our configurations to guide us. They also have a support system that connects us to Intersystems experts to troubleshoot more nuanced tasks.

While Intersystems HealthShare is a collection of sophisticated software, their view of the HIE industry appears to be, we know what you need so shut up and do as we say.  The Illinois HIE chose them as our vendor and we were initially quite excited.  What we quickly discovered is that one key to a successful HIE is a robust onboarding process.  Intersystems convinced us they had one but after a few years of attempting to onboard people from some clinics we discovered that not only was their algorithm flawed, that wasn't much of a concern of theirs.  They continued to attempt to tweak the algorithm rather than taking a broader view.  Things continued to degenerate from there.  There were other problems with our own orientation, the State of Illinois' policy around HIEs, and clients who wanted the benefit of an HIE but who were not willing to really dedicate the resources for success.  So Intersystems was a part of the problem with the Illinois HIE, but certainly not the only problem.  I retired out of government in 2015 so this review reflects that.  Much could have changed in the intervening years.

The product works well but it's not very user friendly, the UI is outdated and you nedd a lot of clicks to get to one place

We use InterSystems HealthShare and HealthConnect products. The overall experience has been good. We are upgrading the product to be able to leverage all that InterSystems can offer.
