Multicloud Key Management as a Service (KMaaS) Reviews and Ratings
What is Multicloud Key Management as a Service (KMaaS)?
Multicloud key management as a service (KMaaS) is a cloud-based security solution that provides centralized cryptographic key management across multiple cloud platforms and hybrid environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and on-premises systems. These are deployed as SaaS and may also use a hardware security module (HSM). KMaaS controls the keys across multiple CSPs and may also support customer managed keys (CMKs) by integrating to CSP-native bring-your-own-key (BYOK) solutions to enable consistent data access control policies. KMaaS supports business adoption of cloud services by enabling access to data more securely through consistent cryptography. KMaaS should be deployed to reduce exposure to data residency, security and privacy risks. This involves preventing inappropriate clear-text access by staff or CSPs to data or encryption keys at each location. The primary goal of Multicloud KMaaS is to simplify key management complexity, enhance data security, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide greater control and visibility over an organization's cryptographic assets, all delivered as a managed service, thereby reducing the need for dedicated on-premises hardware or disparate key management systems for each cloud.
