Retail Distributed Order Management (DOM) Systems Reviews and Ratings

What are Retail DOM Systems?

DOM systems use configurable rule-based procedures to orchestrate the fulfillment of customer orders placed through a retailer’s online channel, although many nonretailers are now also exploring or using DOM capabilities within their own supply chain. The purpose of a DOM system is to allow companies to optimize their order fulfillment performance while balancing two primary constraints: - The customer’s expected lead time for receiving their order on-time, in-full - The company’s desire to meet these customer expectations at the optimum fulfillment cost

"Great Order Management tool"

We use Kibo mainly because it offers the possibility to offer a functional multichannel solution to our customers. We have tried with another platform before but it did not offer what we were looking for: precision and reliability. With Kibo we have found both of them! The platform offers a clear way to communicate within the shipping locations (in our case the wareused and the stores) and the information is updated very fast. After the initial set up is done, it is very easy to learn to use the platform so we did not have to spent time to do long training sessions to our employees, they were able to start working with it just with a few ours of introduction and training. The dashboard is very clear and the different order status/cases are separated in queues so on a first sight, it is easy to understand where are the urgencies or the orders needing manual intervention. Kibo also offers reporting tools but on my opinion, they should be improved as at the moment they are not very customizable.
