User Sentiment About Teleport Infrastructure Identity Platform
Reviewer Insights for: Teleport Infrastructure Identity Platform
Deciding Factors: Teleport Infrastructure Identity Platform Vs. Market Average

Teleport Infrastructure Identity Platform Likes & Dislikes

Like

I really like that Teleport provides a unified access platform that simplifies managing and auditing SSH, RDP and database access. Its strong security model - built around short-lived certificates, MFA, RBAC, and detailed audit logs - aligns with zero-trust and compliance needs. The platform also scales effectively across cloud and hybrid environments and integrates well with identity providers.

Like

I like how many products it can support (LDAP, AD etc...)

Like

Ease of deployment through integrations across our hybrid environment

Dislike

Teleport has a noticeable learning curve, especially around concepts like roles, labels, discovery and certificate-based access, which can slow initial adoption. The initial deployment and architecture design require careful planning and solid IAM and infrastructure knowledge, making it less suitable as a quick, plug-and-play solution. Additionally, while the documentation is generally good, some advanced or edge-case scenarios require extra troubleshooting.

Dislike

The level of configuration you can have (it's a bit much). It'd be nice if there were pre-made templates specifically designed for each scenario to make the implementation easier.

Dislike

Single point of failure in case of vendor outage
