Performance of Alteon Across Market Features
Alteon Likes & Dislikes
Stability and reliability - the platform has proven to be very stable in production . Even under high load from many IoT devices, we have not experienced significant downtime or performance degradation. Performance and scalability - handles large volumes of traffic efficiently and allows us to scale our services Visibility and monitoring - the solution provides good visibility into traffic, sessions and system performance Ease of configuration - management interface is intuitive
the easy to use GUI, the feature and the support are great with respect to the product.
The things I like: 1) Support is very easily accessible - support portal and experts available have solved some really hard crashing issues. 2) Product is easily understandable - UI/UX is streamlined, flowing from one section to other. Settings almost self-explanatory or context-implied. 3) Resiliency is quite impressive. If I didn't apply regular updates, the system would be working always on, non-stop and without issues.
User interface While it is functional and provides the necessary controls, some parts of the interface feel a bit outdated compared to more modern platforms. Documentation could also be more detailed in certain advanced config scenarios
the product need to have more scalability towards implementation of SSL and cybersecurity mechanism.
The things that I dislike in this solution: Not all settings are available from GUI. Defined objects do not have a reference list, to see where it is used. GUI seems a bit dated.

Radware Maintains Stable Performance Handling Requests From Over 400,000 IoT Devices
We are using Radware as a load balancer in our IoT environment where it is handling requests from more than 400 000 IoT devices. It efficiently distributes requests from these devices to our backend servers and maintains stable performance even during peak traffic periods. So far we haven't had any major issues or downtime and the set up is pretty easy and intuitive and it is providing good visibility. - SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR<50M USDFinance (non-banking)Review Source
Alteon on-premises vs cloud
I started administering and using the product a year after implementation. The experience was quite smooth. If any issues arose, then through dedicated support portal they were replied to and/or escalated if necessary during the day. As we encountered some appliance breaking changes, the support provided a fix within a month. The offered product has quite extensive capabilities and pricing is easy to understand. Available experts (through support) have resolved any issues we had. Also the vendor has a community website available - where they publish news and useful insights. And from this community portal there is also a portal with online classes to get to know their solutions better. - Inforamtion Security Administrator1B-10B USDBankingReview Source
On-Premises Bot Protection Solution Maintains Stability and Compliance in Banking Sector
We currently use Radware Alteon for Bot Protection and GSLB its been very stable and reliable. However, our team is only managing for Bot Protection. In banking, downtime is not acceptable and we cannot use cloud-based protection because of compliance and regulatory restrictions. An important factor for us is that it works perfectly in an on-premises environment, which is mandatory for our compliance and security requirements. - IT Associate50M-1B USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Consistent Technical Support and Easy Interface Highlight Experience With Radware Alteon
My overall experience with Radware Alteon is very good. The GUI and CLI interface is very good and easy to understand. I have been working on this device for the last 10 years and throughout that time my experience has been consistently positive. The main reason for the positive is Radware technical support - no matter the situation Radware team is always ready to help even if it is beyond their official support. They are always available to help, provide proper documentation. - IT Manager<50M USDEnergy and UtilitiesReview Source
