Product Information on Apollo GraphOS

Updated 9th January 2026

What is Apollo GraphOS?

Apollo GraphOS is a cloud-native API orchestration platform that enables teams to connect AI agents and apps to GraphQL and REST APIs, query data from anywhere, and ship new experiences with speed and confidence. The platform includes centralized schema management, federation, collaboration workflows, and governance capabilities such as schema checks, contracts, access control, and auditability to coordinate changes across teams. Integrated observability and performance tooling provide end-to-end traceability, usage analytics, and error and latency insights, helping teams ensure API reliability and optimize their graph in production.

Apollo GraphOS Pricing

Apollo GraphOS software offers pricing based on tiered subscription plans, which include a free tier with limited features and usage, as well as paid plans that provide additional capabilities and increased usage limits. Pricing structure may depend on team size, feature access, and usage metrics such as requests and storage.

I have worked on bringing the Apollo product over 7 years. We went live in production few years back with their gateway offering and they worked hand in hand with us during the pilot and production rollout. We are currently running multiple routers for alvarious supergraphs. Apollo's support was integral in our success.

when you use the features as intended it's fast and saves time

Like

Apollo GraphQL use cases in the summit provided production use cases such as BlockBuilder from WayFair using Apollo federation capabilities with domain and UI configuration routing, Indeed Agentic workflows via Subscriptions

Dislike

Not all of my feature requests have made it into their product. - router subscriptions over event broker - more insights for caching when using the router - insights based on subgraph or dev team in addition to by consumer

Dislike

Apollo almost feels like a separate skill from general graphql quite often

Dislike

Clarity on what are the wrong use cases for GraphQL. Problems with Connectors as a production grade enterprise solution.
