Qlik replicate is really usefull tool to replicate data from different database with different technology. We used it to replicate data from on premise Oracle database to SQL MI database in cloud and vice-versa.

It just works, we have been on Replicate for about 5 years now and I don't think we have ever had a single software failure. That's the best part for us, we've been able to set it and forget it.

It easy to configure

- Real-time data flow, which is ideal for keeping information up to date for decision making. - Designer interface is very intuitive with a drag-and-drop gui. - The engine is highly optimized.

When we first purchased there was a lack of training people on the Qlik side as it was just added to the Qlik portfolio. I am sure that has been resolved 5 years later. But even when we were able to get on a call with support and training they did a great job and got us up to speed quickly.

During the configuration we have identified some issue with privileges

- On-premises maintenance, because we are responsible for upgrades on OS or underlying server. - When a task fails, the error logging messages are difficult to understand at a high technical level. - Managing specific ODBC/Client drivers on the Replicate server for every different source can be difficult.

Good and capable product. Meets data replication needs. Ability to "read once write many" i.e. fork out data to multiple targets is a major plus. Ability to work with multiple data sources and targets is a major plus. Vendor need to work on enhancing capabilities e.g. Enabling additional security protocols while connecting with source and targets; Use of native connection binaries rather than ODBC etc.
