The standout aspect of Breachlock is the seamless end-to-end experience from scoping and test execution to reporting and remediation tracking. The platform is east to navigate, results are organised and vulnerabilities are mentioned in a precise manner. It's modern, efficient approach that fits well into fast-paced environment like ours.
- Overall thoroughness: We felt that they followed the OWASP protocols very well. - Tools UI & Data therein: We liked the format of the Findings and the UI of the associated tools. - Remediation Suggestions: Their suggested remediation steps were very helpful. - Price: Compared to other similar services, their price offered the most value, by far.
Its biggest strength is its combination of structured penetration testing, practical reporting and support for remediation validation. The service gives us security findings that are not just theoretical but actionable for engineering teams.
The major drawbacks are :- 1) sometimes missing the deadline for pentest completion. 2) temporary application glitches due to high testing loads from pen-testing.
The fact that the Automated Scans and Manual Scans were in different interfaces was less than ideal. I believe they have fixed that in the newest version of their system, though. The other problem we had was with communication. There was a massive time difference between us and their tech team which led to response times of 24-48 hours, which at times slowed down the entire process.
Some things that could be improved would be earlier communication on blockers like if the information provided isn't sufficient or the person leading has some issues that would delay the process in any way.
