Dec 20, 2025
My experience with Check Point SandBlast Network has been quite positive. It does a solid job in detecting and blocking advanced malware and zero-day threats, especially in email and web traffic. The threat prevention capability is strong and reliable. Initial setup took some time and required proper tuning, but once it was configured, it worked smoothly. The management console is powerful, though it can feel a bit complex at first. Support response is generally good, but troubleshooting advanced cases can take time.

Check Point SandBlast Network Likes & Dislikes

Like

The biggest strength of SandBlast Network is its strong zero-day threat prevention using sandboxing and amulation, which gives good confidence against unknown attacks. Another thing I like is the deep integration with other Check Point Security solutions, which makes centralized management easier for network security teams. It also provides detailed threat reports and logs, which help in analysis investigation. Once tuned properly, the solution runs very stable with minimal performance impact.

Like

I get real time updates on global threats and it a advantage I have worked on both models which are on-premises and cloud environment due to which I can work on hybrid It has deep packet inspection which which analyzes traffic

Like

Unified network security management and single-click policy setup reduces operational overhead on different network segments, backed by a massive real-time threat intelligence repository from research labs, global telemetry and feeds to stay current against new attacks. Its ability to instantly sanitize email attachments and web downloads ensures we receive safe content, and also allows deeper analysis to continue in the background.

Dislike

One of the main challenges is that the initial setup and configuration is quite complex and needs experienced resources to tune policies properly. For new teams, the learning curve can be steep. The management console is powerful, but sometimes it feels overloaded, and simple tasks more clicks than expected. UI improvements would really help day-to-day operations. Licensing and pricing structure is a bit confusing, especially when multiple blades of features and involved. It's not always easy to understand what is included without vendor clarification. And in some cases, troubleshooting advanced threats takes time, and support resolution for complex issues can be slower than expected.

Dislike

Responses by customer support takes time during peak hours I found occasional false positives

Dislike

One drawback is that OS and CPU level emulation across many files can be resource intensive, requiring careful sizing in high traffic environments.Without dedicated SOC or SIEM expertise, it can be overwhelming to manage AI engines, deep forensics AND emulation technologies.

Check Point SandBlast Network Delivers Soild Protection, But Initial Setup and Performance Could Be Improved

    5.0
    Nov 8, 2025
I've been using Check Point SandBlast Network for some time now, and overall, the experience has been quite positive. It has added a strong layer of protection to our network, especially against advanced and unknown threats. Once it was properly tuned for our environment, it started performing really well in detecting suspicious traffic and blocking potential attacks. The initial setup took some time since there were many configuration options to go through, but once everything was aligned with our network structure, it worked smoothly. The support team was cooperative and knowledgeable, though at time their response could have been a little faster. Overall, it has definitely strengthened our security posture and given us better confidence in our threat prevention system.
