The Autopilot feature and the sheer breadth of the emissions factor database are the standout wins. Additionally, having access to verified datasets like EXIOBASE and ecoinvent in one API means we don't have to source and maintain these libraries ourselves
We used the search API to search which emmision factos were available using source, region, location, year etc. We also used other API's like procurement and energy to calculate emissions available based on consumption of electricity, steam , heat etc. The API's were pretty straightforward to use and enabled us to get upto speed quickly.
What really stands out is their Autopilot feature. The fact that it can take a messy list of procurement spend and automatically map it to the right carbon factors is a massive time-saver for our team.
While the API is powerful, there is a significant technical tax at the start. If you don't have available developer resources to build the integration, the tool is essentially a black box since it isn't a plug and play standalone app.
None I could think of. Perhaps scaling the API's more and increasing the thottling limits for paid users could be better,
Initial learning curve as the platform is deep. Database is massive but still needs improvement. Community plan limit can be increased.
