Product is well thought out with very good documentation. We used the v1 and upgraded to the v2 version. Our teams love it as it gives them the ability to be more performant than their local machine. As a less technical person who doesn't do daily tech work, I love that it lets me keep coding tools off my laptop, but quickly get to them when I need them. As a security leader I also like that we can created vetted and highly secure access pathways via cloud hosted dev environments instead of having less secure laptops gain access to systems.

Documentation is great, deployment is clean and easy to maintain, and it's feature rich at both the community and paid tiers.
I like the ability to customerize via terraform
The workspaces are very efficient and have been a marked improvement from our previous VDI platform
The migration from V1 to V2 wasn't seamless, but they provided great documentation.
Its a steep learning curve, but worth the investment. The control plane should have an option for reference implementation and allow for a managed version. The workspace environments themselves is the companies responsibility then.
* requires a lot of technical skill to deploy efficiently * things move fast and active development means new features can be a bit shaky * first-line customer support is agentic AI, which can seem less personal
