I really like to use CXO to quickly grasp what's the current status of the company. It allows ad-hoc analysis and is suitable to do detailed comparisons among company units based on rep-defined groups.

It is very customizable, stable, and the reports look good.

To be honest, I love this product. It is easy to use and has custom and modern graphics which allow users to quick analysis and easy to track performance of the company. However, the start of the application sometimes takes time. It is annoying to wait for the start.

The user documentation is lacking, the way that row and column formulas interact can be buggy, and no ability to undo a change to a report.

1. Upgrades are cumbersome, has potential to break relatively easily 2. Limited ability to create/editing reports. Templates available, but can't edit

Easy to Use Software, More Flexibility Needed

Overall I think that this is a good product. I think that there are some limitations with the program that are either working to be fixed or there are other things that are more of a priority. I think that it can get pretty difficult to put in simple formulas and edit columns such as you would be able to do an excel. One thing that I think would be helpful is the ability to customize single cells versus the change being for a whole column or a whole row. But the positive side of this is that you can build reports relatively quickly, you are able to log in users and have them get a general knowledge and be able to support themselves within 20 to 30 minutes of being introduced to the software. It also allows for a novice to search through the different hierarchies, yielding hundreds of results, within minutes and getting the answers that they need without any cumbersome analysis.

CXO Software (Cockpit) is a very flexible product that we currently mainly use for loading of data from Oracle HFM. We are in the process of upscaling this by combination with other data sources. The biggest benefits of Cockpit are flexibility, ease of use and portability of data (laptop, IPad etc.).
