Exposure Management capabilities: The platform helps correlate vulnerabilities with real attack paths, allowing better prioritization of remediation based on actual risk. Threat intelligence updates: Continuous updates with new threat intelligence feeds ensure that simulations remain aligned with the latest attack techniques. Integrations with existing security tools: Seamless integrations help validate detections and confirm whether security controls are effectively identifying threats. Strong support and collaboration from the Cymulate team: The team provides valuable insights based on our environment and helps optimize the plataform usage.
I like the pre-canned attack templates that mimic how APTs will try and breach and maintain persistence. It is useful when aligned with you attack surface and known attackers of your industry.
Continuous improvements and developments. Immediate Threat feature is incredibly useful for our CTEM approach. The UI has improved a lot with 2.0, for instance we can now track our posture for specific APTs or based on geography.
Reporting customization Greater flexibility in customizing reports for different stakeholders would improve usability and communication with technical and management teams. More detailed technical remediation guidance The standard technical reports could include more detailed remediation guidance, such as consolidated PDF reports with detection recommendations (e.g., Sigma rules) aligned with the selected security tools. Expanded integrations Increasing the number of integrations with orther security tools would further improve automation and help streamline validation across the security stack.
I do not like the speed at which the tool runs the assessments. I do not like the opaqueness with which the tool detects vulnerabilities. I do not like the support.
Previous UI had some minor difficulties trying to find what we were looking for, but with 2.0 that's been fixed and it works like a charm, yet I would love to see more art in it:)

The solution is frequently updated with new threat intelligence feeds from Cymulate's intelligence services, which allows us to continuously validate our environment against current attack techniques and threat scenarios. Additionally, the Exposure Management plataform has been very useful for correlating vulnerabilities and threats with real attack simulations. In practice this helps us better understand our actual risk exposure and prioritize remediation efforts based on validated attack scenarios and test results, rather than relying solely on theoretical vulnerability scores. Cymulate has enabled us to maintain a strong security posture. We can easily track our score changes even if we apply a new change whether it is planned, unplanned, or accidental which gives us a real peace of mind. Hopper module helps us track significant problems in our networks where human error is more likely to occur. Rapid Threat Updates and Ease of Integration Balanced by Cloud Limitations
We use this product to simulate attacks on end-user computers and email systems. The new interface is quite successful. It's much faster. We also use it as a CTI system to feed SOAR systems. It can also perform matching with the MITRE attack database to determine how to take precautions against threats.
