Performance of Extreme Management Center Across Market Features
Extreme Management Center Likes & Dislikes
Web Interface Great Compass search capabilities Network Maps Launching things like SSH to a device with a right click
We always have more than one network engineer from Extreme onsite which is really very convenient.
The XMC and IQ-SE products that I use for managing the Extreme switches and wireless controllers in my network is very versatile and powerful. I am able to make changes to the Policy/ACL's with a click of a button, I am able to manage the specific pieces of equipment and I can monitor the devices via a comprehensive GUI screen
Some of the popup menus like configuration of devices can be clunky. Some options are not explained well in the UXI It occasionally freezes.
Extreme network resources if not on board then can delay the resolution of network issues / incidents as they work on different time zones
That there do not have more market share and thus it is harder to find staff that are knowledgeable about the equipment

Great web interface to manage your Extreme products.
We moved from NetSight which was an app to XMC which is web based. It is a snappy interface that offers great insight as to what our switching environment looks like. - staff network engineer50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Extreme IQ-SE is an excellent management system for diverse network systems
I have always had a very good experience with Extreme Networks, with my account staff as well as the support staff at the Extreme GTAC. They have always been very attentive and supportive with all of my questions and support needs. Their Policy application is an extremely powerful way to implement user and port based ACL's - SE50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source

Management for professionals
We evaluated many vendors but were pleasantly surprised how much value we received from Extreme's offerings. Very few issues and very reliable. The management interface gave us the detail we needed to diagnose our client issues and mitigate trends where coverage was lacking. - Network Engineer1B-10B USDTelecommunicationReview Source
Good service and good products although not cheap
I have been working with the Extreme Management Center for several years and I am delighted. Little by little they are introducing new features that greatly facilitate the daily use and also include new functionalities with relative frequency. The only reason why I have considered the change at some point has been for the price, in my opinion somewhat expensive. The network of partners in Spain is good and the after-sales service is almost always efficient
