FlexSim Likes & Dislikes
The user interface is easier to use than many similar solutions. Integration with other software is relatively easy as well. The interpretation of results is quick and efficient, and can be presented to C-suite members without much efforts
the possibility to connect with other IS software is a big plus (such as the APS or MES or ERP software). The 3D visualization is a plus for some specific use cases. the price range is good compared to other tools providing similar features.
I enjoy the flexibility, the ease of parametrization as well as the freedom I have when I have an idea and I want to model it.
The software may not be as advanced as other solutions on the market to simulate other use cases than supply chain. It is still possible to simulate assembly lines and other manufacturing processes by using the same process as supply chain simulation, but the simulation is not as powerful as other software focused on this use case. There are less available integrators than there are for the bigger solutions on the market.
The need to have programmers in order to manage the tool which is a set of competence that can be hard to find / to have.
The licensing system is per user, but there is no available viewer license in order to see the model and the results directly. we have to export those results
