Google Cloud Search

The three standout features that I appreciate are: Firstly, its ability to intelligently search across Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, and more surfacing the relevant result based on the user activity & access permission. Secondly, it provides proactive recommendations and suggestions even before a query is fully typed, saving my time and improving productivity. And last but not least, is its federated search capability, which can be extended to search across third-party sources, making it a centralized knowledge hub.

Being able to search all of the organization's data at once is useful Having it built into all parts of Google Workspace is great.

1. The search is really intuitive, it's just as simple as it is typing into a regular Google search bar 2. The filter options are excellent, making it much easier to narrow down the search results. i.e. I very commonly filter by a certain file type when I know what I'm looking for. 3. The main perk of the tool in being able to search across everything on the back end is awesome. Our company has files owned by thousands of different people and are spread out all over the place, and without Google Cloud Search, it's nearly impossible to find something unless you remember to save a link or bookmark to every single item you might possibly want to reference again.

There isn't anything specific but a few points I would say where improvement can be made are that it has very basic filtering options, which are used but could be more helpful if it is advanced for power users. Another area that could use improvement is that while federated search is supported, integrating it with third-party or on-premises systems can be technically complex. Lastly, though the user-interface is friendly, it has minimal customization options which can be a drawback for a few organizations.

The search criteria and filters could be more in depth and powerful The fact the results are badly sorted and show files that haven't been accessed in months/years above files that were just opened yesterday when both files include the same search terms, is just bad design.

I don't know that I really dislike anything per se, but the things that could maybe be improved are: 1. Adding AI capabilities to better help show results I'm most likely to care about 2. Being able to search across more things beyond what is immediately stored somewhere in the Google Cloud (this may be possible and our company just hasn't done the integration) 3. Maybe giving me options to customize the way that I search on a user-personal level would be nice
