1. Data Collection and Aggregations - EnergyIP Meter Data Management provides automated data collection from a variety of energy meters including both Siemens and third party devices. The system then aggregates this data to provide a comprehensive view of energy consumption across organization. 2. Real time monitoring and analysis - The system provides real-time monitoring and analysis of energy usage data, allowing us to identify patterns and trends in the energy consumption. This vital information is then used to optimize energy and reduce cost. 3. Reporting and Visualization - EnergyIP meter data management provides customizable reporting and visualization tools, allowing us to create detailed reports and charts that highlight energy usage trends and identify areas of improvement. The system also provides dashboards to view energy usage data in real-time making it easy to identify areas where energy usage is high or where there are opportunity for energy saving.
Although we loved this product but there are two points which I would like to highlight which we faced initially now we are used to it. 1. we faced issues in integrating the platform with our existing systems. It was very challenging and we faced lots of trouble for this. It was a big task to do the data exchange and making it compatible with our systems initially. 2. Although it offers customization but there are certain features and functionalities that we wanted but due to its limitation we were not able to implement that. there were certain rules we wanted to implement based on our vendors requirement but we were not able to do so. Some time we feel that cost of this product is bit high but I don't consider that as negative because it offers a lot in terms of exchange. better negotiation can help in cost cutting but its a good product overall.
It does not have native Ethernet IP communication available, which required purchasing remote I/O to accommodate the interfacing.
1. Cost - Siemens is known for providing high-quality solution and hence comes with premium price point. Cost of implementation and maintainance is high but over time the system delivers the expected ROI. 2. Complexity - Siemen's EnergyIP Meter Data Management is advanced and feature rice, hence the set up is difficult. Specialized technical expertise is required to properly configure and manage the solution. 3. Compatibility - Limited compatibility with existing energy management or building automation systems. Though Siemen's team will be always ready to come up with an alternate solution.
