Grip Security SaaS Security Platform Likes & Dislikes
A standout part of the experience has been the support. Our Technical Customer Success Manager, has been exceptional. He is highly responsive, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely engaged. That level of partnership makes a meaningful difference. We also love the Grip Extend which helps us with Password Hygiene and additional identity telemetry.
Excellent visibility into SaaS usage and OAuth integrations, strong security insights and risk scoring, easy interaction with identity providers and SaaS platforms, and Grip extend discovery, identity lifecycle workflow, and SaaS posture management.
Scans environment quickly, provides information on what users are using shadow IT, ability to tag and take notes on specific apps. New CSA function is exciting to look forward to as well.
One nit I can pick is that the reporting center could still be improved to allow users to create custom reports. This is where having our technical CSM helps. He helps us bridge that gap. Another nit is that the risk calculation is not very intuitive, but that said it's only an input and not my main use for the platform.
We haven't encountered any major issues with the platform so far. In some cases, certain SaaS applications may detect authentication methods slightly differently, which can require minor tuning or adjustments. However, these are relatively minor configuration tweaks and do not significantly impact the overall effectiveness of the product.
- can sometimes be slow providing report downloads - can get convoluted with internally named applications (more an issue on our end though) - would like for it to scan globally, but also understand the reason why that cant/hasnt happened yet.

Fast and clear insight into your SaaS and sprawl. Minimal friction and impact to your users.
I've had a very positive experience with Grip Security. It consistently delivers near-instant visibility into SaaS usage and sprawl, which is critical for maintaining control in a distributed environment. I've personally been a Grip user for a couple of years prior to joining our org, and while I'm not keen on simply bringing in new tools to a company I had just joined, we were missing some very important visibility. I've let my team review Grip Security independent of my thoughts and they agreed. - Engineer<50M USDSoftwareReview Source

Tool Identifies Unsanctioned Apps and AI Use, Enables Customization for Teams
Tool helps various teams (i.e finding shadow IT, use of unsanctioned apps, AI use, etc) and Grip team communicates well, is friendly, up to date on product calls, and works with us to customize any part of the tool that we want to edit. - INFOSEC TECHNICAL ANALYST50M-1B USDMiscellaneousReview Source
Product Offers Valuable Insights but still developing workflow functions
Overall I like the company. The product provides good insights for our account management program. It's a "young" product, but they are still working on expanding it and deploying new functionality. Its newness comes with a lack of some functionality that will likely be released in the future. The roadmap is promising and overall the support for the tool is good. - Vp, Enterprise Infrastructure50M-1B USDFinance (non-banking)Review Source
Grip Solution Offers Unprecedented SaaS Visibility and Access Control
We have been very happy with the Grip solution overall. It has provided visibility and control over the use of hundreds of SaaS applications used within our organization, that we just didn't have before.
