Very easy to manage and cast effective , if you we really want to reduce the cost and this product would be really helpful
Data deduplication and storage savings. Fact that it is Hyperconverged environment makes it more appealing especially if you want to run it in green data centers or if you are concerned with energy savings. Since everything is integrated into a single box (actually you need two clustered boxes) with no need for external data storage, makes it perfect for not having many units in the data-center rack.

It is heavy depended on the vendor even for any simple change (such as IP address change or moving the box to another location). Vendor usually has master password which is not provided to customers. Let's say that you want to use the product and opt out of product support. In the case that you need to move the box to another building on different data segment, your Simplicity box would be unusable. Also, support level has been degraded after Simplivity was acquired by HP.
Not being able to run standard Vmware hypervisor builds.

Great product but vendor not properly addressing customer needs
This product is great but it is very difficult to setup if you are running it in a mixed environment. Once setup properly it runs great with internal backup policies. Runs on HP hardware and still lacking proper support for older legacy boxes. Our environment consists of both legacy and new hardware boxes. Upgrades might be challenging since it is relying heavily on the vendor for more complex tasks. Running it without vendor support might be very challenging. Major issues with orginal software version, which were resolved after upgrade.
We were unfortunate to start off with a buggy version of the software. In this software version any network outage resulted in severe problems on the storage side. After upgrading the software a few times to a better version, things are running smoothly.
