Its built on top of open source Hyperledger Fabric and brings its own features to enrich it. it's easy to deploy the solution in any environment - public or private cloud. Smart contracts can be written in JavaScript, Java, and Go languages. To start off though, you need to understand the architecture of the product so you can utilize it better. Also you need to understand the business problem that you are solving and the compare it with the features and tools the IBM Blockchain is providing to see if its a right match.
