Performance of Ignition Across Market Features
Ignition Likes & Dislikes
Ignition enabled me to design visually appealing and user-friendly SCADA interfaces without even having to use PHP. This has freed up our team hundreds of working hours compared to rigid, code-intensive solutions.
What we like the most is the real-time monitoring feature of the product and the rapid development of any SCADA project.
Drag and Drop functionality. Access via any web browser. The community and vendor support is very responsive.
Additional features are more often than not dependent on scripting languages which I being a mere non coder find annoying. This means that things like some automation is done by our IT team or through outsourcing IT consultants only.
We faced scalability issues during product deployment and the deployment process is difficult too. Also, it is a costly product.
Scripting and database integration are complex. Setup of large scale applications is complex and takes time and some expertise. For big project you have to use strong server.

Ignition SCADA: A Powerful Platform with Stellar Visualization Tools
Ignition is currently one of the finest SCADA platforms and offers some of the best visualization tools. If Ignition SCADA could provide a more friendly scripting environment for coding then that would be the complete package for us for SCADA. - SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER50M-1B USDSoftwareReview Source
Cost-Effective Automation Software with Responsive Support
This is the best software used for industrial automation, monitoring and control systems. Drag-and-drop functionality simplifies the development of complex dashboards without advanced training. Single license subscription makes it cost effective. We can access software by web browser, it makes it easier to monitor and maintain. - Engineering Manager50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Open Standards Enhance Hardware and Software Integration in SCADA
the software redefines the SCADA system by providing modern, state-of-the-art platforms with modern tools that help you build any application on top of it. with open standards, we can connect any HW or SW to it - Sr. Security Engineer1B-10B USDManufacturingReview Source
Powerful and highly capable platform, but requires strict oversight.
Great platform with almost no limits to it's capabilities. A bit lacking in user management however. - Automation engineer1B-10B USDConsumer GoodsReview Source
Ignition, an IIOT-platform for solving problems where few others can.
The ability to test-drive Ignition at full throttle before buying, full transparency when it comes to pricing and cost. The easy setup and installation in addition to the forums / exchange-pages where users share experience and knowledge makes this a unique product in the SCADA-segment. However: SCADA is probably not the correct name for it, Ignition should really have been marketed as a "multi/problem-solving platform" for modern manufacturing.
