IPFabric presents a unique offering which greatly streamlines managing multiple network devices in a complex enterprise environment. Like many organizations, we often find ourselves with tool bloat but I can safely say that IPFabric is not a purchase that we regret. It has saved time and efforts when performing anything from routine operational tasks like verifying connectivity between endpoints to administrative work documenting end of life or misconfigured equipment.

IP Fabric Likes & Dislikes

IPFabric has greatly simplified our network management and daily operations. It's difficult to identify one thing that I like most but I'd have to say it is the product's simplicity. We've been able to share it with other teams and cut down on the amount of questions and delays between teams needed to verify network connectivity and whether work and approval is required to request new access.

Excellent technical support

The pictorial representation of the route taken from a source to destination is one of the key features that most of our agents likes to be most helpful. The tool's ability to poll and discover the devices connected to the network helped us build a map of all devices. The product also has option to connect with other tools via API.

The only issues we've had with IPFabric has been around its authentication options, the current LDAP integration works and we're able to link up our MFA provider -- but it's unable to pull in user details to easily track within the tool who's logging in based on name and not team member ID. This is going to be resolved in a future feature release.

1. Single node deployments struggle with scalability in complex network environments. 2. Does not support high availability, which impacts reliability in case of unexpected outage.

Product's inability to do real time scan of route path from source to destination is a drawback.
