I like how LogRhythm checks off every box for what you could want in a SIEM. It has strong capabilities to ingest logs from a huge variety of sources, it is powerful in that you can automate and interpret logs better (which makes logs more useful), and you can organize your logs to reduce storage based on importance or type, along with alerts to notify your administrators or security analysts when certain areas of your network need attention.
This platform is really good y giving us clear and actionable alerts, especially for privileged account logins and failed login attempts. It also has a comprehensive dashboarding that gives us visualization and reports. The best part is the Strong correlation engine to create rules for alerting.
LogRhythm SIEM is a comprehensive and feature-rich platform. It has all the perks of a security information and event management (SIEM) solution.
What I dislike most is LogRhythm can be too overwhelming for a small IT team. I went through the administrator training with LogRhythm and learned that 90% of the over students were on large teams that had dedicated security analysts to review alerts and patterns of life, while also having administrators and developers to create better ways of sifting through thousands of logs. We only have 5 people on our team and our deployment/implementation was not curated to work with a small team who doesn't have the number of employees dedicated to logs.
The onboarding and integration process was slower than expected: integrating platforms like duo, active directory, firewalls, etc, takes time and often depends on the availability and responsiveness of the vendor team. Limited out-of-the-box use cases o predefined uses cases.
