Using the Meraki dashboard is truly easy to use, and their hardware for the most part is reliable. I've used over 30 Meraki devices and only had to RMA once. Their customer service, while sometimes better than others, is generally very good.
UI is easy when it works
- Build in cloud directly, the interface is very easy to use, and it help the local it team to administrate the solution and easy the set-up - The API, everything is accessible through API, make it a easy to automate action, and retrieve information - Plug and play, if the provider give you a DHCP , there is no local action to perform, that reduce the need to have competent network people for each installation
I've had issues with wireless performance with my Meraki devices. It's not abysmal, but it's been hard to get it fine tuned to exactly what is needed. Each location using Meraki wireless for me seems to need its own unique configuration with the biggest difference between each location being the physical space itself. This is my biggest pain point with Meraki. Additionally, needing an Advanced Security License for more robust security features is a bit aggravating.
Nothing works as advertised, EVERYTHING requires a call to support where you are treated with 0 sense of urgency. Every answer is to upgrade to the latest feature release, and when that doesn't work, downgrade to the latest stable release. When that doesn't work you sit on your hands questioning why you have Meraki products.
Product lack of some key features, that other solution have : - LACP - more in depth RBAC - Firewall L7 with application - Advanced BGP routing options

Meraki Dashboard Simplifies Network Management But Lacks Advanced Configuration Options
Cisco Meraki network devices are quick to configure and easy to manage. The dashboard itself is nice and I find it beneficial to have insight into all of my networks with aggregated and individual statistics. The dashboard is very user friendly, clean, and easy to navigate. Setting up a network or making changes is a breeze. The robust alerting options ensure I'm always up to date with what's going on within my network without having to login to the dashboard too often. I think Meraki is an excellent option for smaller to small-medium sized organizations or sites. However, the downside of such a simple to use platform is that it's lacking in more advanced features. - Network & Security Architect10B+ USDConstructionReview Source
Meraki MX Simplifies Deployment and administration but Lacks Key Network Features
Global experience with Meraki MX product are globally good. Implementation was easy, and it respond overall well to our type of architecture. Still missing some functionality that would help a lot (LACP, better firewall rules, RBAC) - IT SERVICES ASSOCIATE10B+ USDRetailReview Source
Manage all your networks in a single pane of glasse
By implementing the new Meraki MX security appliances in our network a few years ago, we went through an amazing journey replacing our old Cisco series as well as our campus VPN concentrator and remote location spokes with a variety of MX products (MX68, 85/95, 105s, 250s and 450s). - ACTING CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER CO50M-1B USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
