It allows us to orchestrate API calls, auditing consume, revoking non intended accesses. It's easily implemented on a Microsoft environment (towards Azure Function)
It integrates with Azure Services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid and Key vault making it easy to secure and scale our API Ecosystem.
It provides strong functionality with consistent results and makes workflows smoother.
It works really well. You do face some errors (backendconnectionfailure, errors 403) etc... which appear repeatedly if not configured correctly
Azure API Management experienced downtime which affected our Apps
I found it has limited multi-tenancy, there is a lack of granular control with monetization, and there is room for improvement with security
