We really admire how Google implemented this highly scalable storage. We are used to local storage so going forward to persistent disk was a huge leap for us in regards to scalability.

Good platform to use as an IaaS provider with excellent performance and availability.

All core features from Google Cloud like Storage services and compute services work very well with good performance and competitive pricing. However, outages have become more frequent than many years back and also more observable. e.g. we dealt with a wide scale GCS outage in 2017 that we never had experienced in the past.

Close feedback cycle helped improve the platform to where we needed it to be

Even though the platform has not been in a state where we needed it to be to start rolling out production use cases, with the help of Google PSO as well as their Product Management and slowly implementing experiments and trials on GCP, we were able to build a close relationship with Google and got the Products in a state that worked for us and other future customers with similar needs.

We've been happy with the alignment of missions between Google Cloud Engineering. We have a bit unique in having a strong engineering culture and completed some cloud migration planning before partnering with Google in Dec 2017, but Google has been willing to adapt the unique needs.
