The product is free to start with and easy to navigate and integrate with Square Space sites. It has been good for a small website.
It's easy. I don't need to ramp up learning how to navigate a new registrar, website builder, or platform separate from our site. The interface makes everything intuitive and simple to get things done, without having to dive too deeply into any particular tech knowledgebase to get a new domain and site up and running for special events.
Limited flexibility for advanced DNS needs, higher pricing compared to budget registrars and less appealing for non-Squarespace websites
The customer support is pretty lackluster, with response times being pretty slow. Domain transfers are extremely slow compared to other competitors. DNS configuration is fairly constrained with updates often taking several days to fully propagate.
Generating very custom code is straightforward but manual. Sometimes it is easier to have a framework like React at the ready to implement.
