The top four aspects of EBX in my opinion are Workflow Configuration, Data Modeling, Custom Java UI (Forms) and EBX's ability to connect to nearly any 3rd party application easily.
It is a robust tool, well structured and with all expected features from an MDM tool
Semantic Modelling and almost configuration driven for Model design , Rules , Validations , Workflow etc.
The transition from the EBX engine to Lucene Index was tough at first as this required some beefier hardware upgrades (IO specifically) on our end. With the recent EBX 6.2 software upgrade however the performance is faster than ever.
The user interface is not the most attractive, workflow screens are not very intuitive and the integration capabilities are limited
Performance, Stewardship UI features and its non-ability to not support Cluster environment (No High Availability)
