1. IDP integrations - allow us to leverage our existing IAM/IDP provider (e.g., Okta) and policies to define exactly which human and non-human users have access to what sensitive data (and logging!) 2. Key management and storage is built into the solution - we do not need to manage our own key servers or HSMs. 3. The solution supports all of our data security use cases - encryption, masking, tokenization - we do NOT need multiple products or licenses (like other competing solutions) 4. People - they are some of the most intelligent, humble, and helpful people we have ever worked with. 5. Their commercial pricing model is very straightforward and customer-friendly.
Focus on simplicity, speed and automation.
I like that it takes something which is fundamentally simple but generally difficult to manage at scale (encryption) and places a coherent management layer on top of that problem to ensure consistent oversight and configuration. The thing you do consistently is the thing you'll do well to keep yourself safe. UBIQ lives this notion.
I wish they would agree to work from our offices full-time :-)
The reports and dashboards could be more grandular.
Ultimately, maturity has a cost. UBIQ will cost something, and that must be justified. I do not believe the cost is outlandish, it is a value, but justifying cybersecurity, particularly best practice, can be difficult in the face of budget constraints.

Very effective solution to protect sensitive structured & unstructured data in the cloud
Extremely positive experience with the Ubiq solution and the team, from initial discussions through to production deployment. We currently use the solution to encrypt sensitive unstructured and structured data for 250+ applications - deployed across 2 major cloud providers - storing data in Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and various cloud provider database services and simple file storage.
