IDE is really user friendly. It is easy to debug and find support for any arising issues.
It has a good IDE that is similar to Eclipse, so software engineers would not have hard to get used to it. It works stable and did not have issues with the RTOS itself.
Good cross compiling tools, available support, good documentation about the layers of the OS. Partitioning allows to execute mission critical applications with the other noncritical applications in the same hardware and the OS.
The system slows down dramatically in the debugging mode. If you have a determined small periodic cycles, you might get a deadline miss. Moving from older versions can be painful.
Implementation is not straight forward. There are not enough training material available, and you will need some instructor led training at the beginning. It is expensive for small budget projects as well.
Not many IDEs are available.

Good features and really reliable, but hard to implement at the beginning
It is stable and reliable Real Time Operating System for industrial projects. It has good capabilities but for a good price. I also found it hard to learn the operating system layers and build files compared to other products available. Not for beginners. - Design Engineer1B-10B USDManufacturingReview Source

Widely used, well supported Real Time Operating System for systems that require certification such as avionics software. It is easier to understand compared to the other products available. - Design Engineer1B-10B USDManufacturingReview Source
Good solution for real time operating system applications
Good performance light weight OS for embedded applications. It is widely used and trusted by the developers. - System Engineer<50M USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
VxWorks
VxWorks, a deterministic, priority-based preemptive RTOS with low latency and minimal jerk, is ideal for difficult real-time embedded applications - Senior Software Engg50M-1B USDTelecommunicationReview Source
Migration is painful however maintaining software, on it, is a breeze
Satisfied with the vendor, and support however migrating to newer version of vxworks is quite cumbersome task. OS design is simple and quite intuitive. debugging support is improved quite a lot over a time period.
