One of the best things about QuickSight ishow well it integrates with AWS servicess. Data stores in AWS can be connected relatively quickly without needing complicated setup. The interface is also fairly easy to learn. Creating charts, tables, dashboards doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge, which makes it accessible for busi ness users. Another advantage is SPICE engine, which allows datasets to be cached in memory. This improves dashboard performance and allows for faster query responses compared to running queries directly on the source database every time.

The main limitation for us has been around customisation - some of the visual tweaks, layout controls and advanced calculations feel restricted compared to more flexible BI tools. The UI also has a few issues, things like filters and scrolling don't behave as smoothly as you'd expect during deeper analysis. While it is powerful, it can occasionally return overly broad or generic insights when working with more complex datasets, so some manual refinement is still needed.
