Product: SAS Visual Analytics

Powerful analytics platform with strong dashboards and enterprise scalability

Likes and dislikes about

likes

The biggest advantage for me is how quickly I can test analytical ideas. In fraud, mule detection, and customer risk projects, requirements often evolve as new patterns emerge. SAS EG makes it easy to pull data, perform exploratory analysis, validate hypotheses and refine logic iteratively. I particularly like that I can combine visual tasks with custom code within the same workflow. This flexibility has helped me focus more on solving business problems and less on managing tooling.

dislikes

Some weaknesses of SAS VA are: 1.Automated insights can be limited: while useful for standard analyses, automated insights sometime lack flexibility and may not capture more complex business or clinical scenarios compared to custom analytical models 2.Governance and content management ca become complex: managing permissions, folders and shared content across large organizations can be difficult, especially when many teams and reports are involved 3.Report customization has some limitations: although the visualization capabiliyties are strong, certain advanced formatting and highly customized reporting features are less flexible compared to specialized BI or reporting tools.
