Commvault pretty much has you cover or anything you want to backup, SQL servers, FIle Servers, VMs, AD, it can also replicate your backups and perform automatic recovery for testing and compliance requirements , their Microsoft Entra integration and O365 is really good

We have recently discovered that their Commvault SaaS backup of Office 365 lacks some data protection which we were not aware of until we had to restore them. MS Lists is a web app that is stored on the personal users' OneDrive and not in SharePoint. After contacting support we were told that MS Lists is not supported at this time. So we have SharePoint Online protection, MS OneDrive backup and Exchange Online backup and it cannot be recovered at all. We mainly bought it to support our MS Dynamics 365 backup but are unsure if it truly protects this product 100%. While we were able to restore some records, we need to fully understand what can be backed up and restored in the event of a disaster. We have found that with SaaS backup we cannot take their word for it and need to test it. There is nothing wrong with their on-premise backup of our systems. After the purchase of Commvault Metallic the following 4th year their terms and conditions changed. Unlimited storage for SaaS backup on MS365 were not longer part of their product offering. They changed it to paid storage with a base set of storage. You can imagine that with 3 years of data backup and a storage retention policy it is difficult to switch to another product. Be cautious with SaaS products as terms and conditions are subject to change.
