Gartner defines cloud financial management (CFM) tools as tooling that provides the ability to collect, organize, display, optimize and manage the investments in cloud computing infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS). They leverage algorithms, statistical models and/or AI/machine learning (ML) in support of cost reports, dashboards and/or other mechanisms/interfaces that provide capabilities to monitor cost, utilization and value indicators. This allows users to identify trends, anomalies and misaligned expectations, as well as opportunities to increase the efficiency of cloud configurations, architecture and contracts. CFM tools enable enterprises to collect and analyze public cloud cost and usage information and apply controls to define budget and cost policies to optimize spending on a continuous basis.

CloudHealth fits exceptionally well into our team's requirements for a FinOps toolset.  Primarily used for transparent spend awareness, cost reporting and and recovery, we've been able to accomplish our goals both through the flexibility of the product itself, and feature enhancement requests through the CloudHealth development team.

Overall cloudhealth is better tool for cloudfinops considering Azure, AWS, GCP and Oracle(we are not using Alibaba hence not sure about its view).  The private cloud(Data Center) was also one of the  key feature which was useful for customers to bring in visibility on a Hybrid model cost visualization. However this feature is not available in their new NX upgraded version which is defenitely a drawback.  As the name says CloudHealth - this can't be treated as a fully blown CNAPP or CSPM but defenitely a cloud cost explorer which gives us better visibility on the granularity of cloud spend.
