Gartner defines cloud infrastructure management (CIM) systems for communications services providers (CSPs) as a set of operations and management support applications and tools to enable CSPs to orchestrate and manage the use of cloud-based network resources. These cloudified compute, storage and networking infrastructure resources may be located in far-edge, near-edge or regional/national CSP premises, or in partner data center locations — such as those of public cloud providers, other CSPs or technology vendors. These network infrastructure resources are used to host virtualized and/or containerized network functions and applications, and related support systems. The CIM systems for CSPs deliver efficient, intent-based, API-diven, zero-touch planning, provisioning, and operations of hardware and software resources, enabling the hyper automation of the network cloud infrastructure.

Utilizzo open stack per l'installazione e gestione di diverse macchine Linux. La creazione di una macchina è una operazione piuttosto semplice ed intuitiva, mentre invece trovo macchinoso l'assegnazione delle reti ed almeno per quanto mi riguarda si finisce spesso a spostarsi con il mouse nei vari sottomenu per cercare le varie funzioni; diciamo che la curva di apprendimento è un po' in salita all'inizio.
La dashboard del dominio riassume lo stato delle varie risorse hardware attraverso le classiche torte. Sulla sinistra sono presenti le varie voci di menu (la rete, lo storage, la parte amministrativa, le macchine virtuali...). In Italiano col termine "Istanza" si definiscono le macchine virtuali. Ogni macchina virtuale ha ovviamente una serie di comandi e dispone della console remota (come in altri sistemi di virtualizzazione).

I use open stack to install and manage several Linux machines. Creating a machine is fairly simple and intuitive, but I find assigning networks cumbersome, and at least for me, you often end up having to use the mouse to navigate through the various submenus to find the various functions; let's just say the learning curve is a bit steep at first.
The domain dashboard summarizes the status of the various hardware resources using classic pie charts. On the left are the various menu items (network, storage, administrative, virtual machines, etc.). In Italian, the term "instance" refers to virtual machines. Each virtual machine obviously has its own set of commands and a remote console (as in other virtualization systems).
