Gartner defines configure, price and quote (CPQ) applications as software that enables sales organizations to automate and optimize the creation of quotes and capture of orders. A CPQ application is a sales tool that captures the new goods and services a customer wants to buy or the changes a customer wants to make to existing goods and services. While generally focused on assisted sales channels, CPQ capabilities such as product configuration and pricing must be shared with the self-service commerce channel. The new purchases and changes must be priced, and a binding contract must be formed with the customer before sending an order to downstream fulfillment systems.

Dealhub product is good with user friendly UI for configuring workflows and other customizations. Easy to access salesforce fields to play with customizations. I would suggest the team focuses more on better and easy approval workflow management (example, when i am reassigning a particular flow, all flows for that person gets reassigned) As an approver, if I need to approve 1 flow and reject another, this is not possible now. Also, there can be analytics & reporting made on workflow data.

DealHub CPQ is a very flexible and robust solution, which has been meeting all our Enterprise needs. It's very well designed and modularized, so we don't have to use everything, but if we want, there are already plenty of solutions to most common needs out of the box. We recently migrated from another Enterprise CPQ, which can unnecessarily be more powerful as it allows way more customization through custom coding, but that's not necessarily a strength, as having more options doesn't necessarily mean you're going to make the best one.  I like that DealHub give all we need in a well-designed way, so we don't have to reinvent the wheel, while also limiting the chance for over-engineering and bad design. It definitely allows for API calls and some coding, but so far we have used and haven't needed much of it, which is positive, as the CPQ process itself is complex enough.
