Almost too many to list. I believe original content — written, photos, and videos — are all but certain to become widely synthetic. Perhaps people will do some humanizing of the content but most of it will be artificially created.

The other areas listed, I believe the jury is still very much out.

I think it will help automate away the non-value add tasks and also become the most valued resource to enhance humans' ability and capability to focus on high-value tasks and insights.

AI will help improve hyperpersonalization in various domains. Some items are added to the list and are not restricted to manufacturing, COEs, customer service, finance, education, etc.

Access to information, data, and justice

i think (and i am trying not to be unreasonable) that will disrupt on taking not need positions, some of you have comment as a personal assistant, also i think many basic function stuff will disappear (not only in tech areas)

I think we will have 4 themes:

- Virtual Assistants - Summarize and extract Insights to assist in decision intelligence/making.

- Customer Engagement - Intelligent Chatbots for Clients and Personalized Assistance.

- Coding - generate and improve code, translate code, documentation, 

- Content Generation: Email, Slides, Documentations, Recommendations, Videos, Arts , Games and metaverse content

Automation and order of magnitude efficiency of labor-intensive tasks such as case reviews, content consolidation, Analysis and summarization of large amounts of input content etc. This is where lot of corporations seem to be able to generate value quick. controlled content controls bias in corporate environements

I'm assuming you mean generative AI, whose core capabilities are: Content Generation, Summarization, Code Generation, and Semantic Search.


Any job function that relies primarily on these functions will be impacted.  I'm most excited about content moderation....there have never been great tools to monitor comments or other bulk/public feedback which is why scams and hatespeech are so prolific on platforms.

Agriculture: AI enhances crop health analysis through satellite imagery, forecasts disease outbreaks, and refines irrigation methods.


Energy Storage: AI determines optimal energy storage and release times, boosting the efficiency of major battery systems and storage solutions.


Grid Management: AI aids in real-time load and source balancing, ensuring consistent energy supply and minimizing blackout risks.

AI will continue to facilitate analytics and push companies to be ever more data driven and clearer with respect to how they collect, clean, and use data. Content creation and use will definitely be one of the more prominent uses going forward with Gen AI tools being some of the most user-friendly tools that exist...currently.

Apart from coding content creation, media production will have a big impact. Like email, presentation, and data gathering, the effect will be every where.

Seamless integration and automation are anticipated to be one of the dominant areas impacted by AI. This covers a broad spectrum, from automating business processes and refining management practices to enhancing service customization. AI can also be crucial in process reengineering and product optimization in manufacturing.

Quality assurance is probably one (not just in software engg). I can see it being given tolerance levels and defition of what is good in use cases like manufacturing as well and use AI to make certify for quality.

In addition to the other areas discussed, AI will be a wonderful virtual assistant and learning partner.  It will help us do research, clarify our thoughts, and analyze / present / write better.  I find ChatGPT to be an exceptional writing tool even in its current infancy.

Good question. We might need an AI Model assisted prediction. 

We have 2k plus years of history proving a human weakness at predicting how the emerging technology of the time will be adopted or disrupt. Even the written word was not welcomed by some. We are each bias. 

We have recently fifty years with some of the best compute, algorithm, and science trying to crack predictions with weather. We are much better at predicting in ares that share data and telemetry. I have met some of these engineers and interesting problems. 

I think the impacts will be wide and require each of us to adroitly attempt application in respective facets of our work.

Any GenAI that touches or allows outside/untrusted sources to interact with it. Will be vastly 'disrupted', however, not in the way you may think. They will see LLMs start to be hypnotized and have unseen prompt injections. You may even see generative adversarial networks (GAN)'s used to bypass even your more robust security measures.

For me being a sales leader, the AI dream use case would serve from Top of funnel to ongoing customer management. 

AI scoring accounts we are looking to target, crafting message and automatically sharing message on platform of choice. Listening to the 1st call and recording notes within CRM, sending crafted followup message to prospect, helping to craft the impact case, help during negotiations by scoring asks and guidance based on past signed deals, scheduling kickoff calls and keeping track of usage patterns, etc.

The biggest thing to keep in mind is AI in my opinion won’t replace people but take away the tactical work that most don’t like doing anyways.

In primary industry it is being used in beef factories to slice up carcasses, and for fish that are filleted (like large salmon) to slice the fish. This is removing workers from these environments and reducing costs.
For Health and Safety, AI is being used to monitor worker behaviour, such as walking too close to moving vehicles in a warehouse. The monitoring of workers by AI can highlight which workers moved within a predefined distance from the vehicle and allow the managers to increase training and awareness.

Personalized services offered and marketed based in a bespoke manner personalized to each singular individual without no human touch through the customer journey

AI's impact on various industries is multifaceted and continues to evolve. Here are additional ways AI could disrupt business across industries:

Customer Service and Support: AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can handle routine customer queries, provide support, and streamline communication, enhancing customer experience while reducing operational costs.

Predictive Analytics and Forecasting: AI can significantly improve predictive analytics, helping businesses forecast trends, consumer behavior, and market shifts more accurately. This can influence inventory management, financial planning, and risk assessment.

Personalized Marketing: AI enables the analysis of vast amounts of data to personalize marketing efforts, delivering more targeted and effective campaigns based on individual preferences and behaviors.

Video industry will be impacted heavily and will find most unique content.

A.I. is not going to be the savior of mankind, nor will it be the end of it. 
Right now we're seeing all the upside hype on how it will change everything and make it better.
Fairly soon we will start seeing reality hit - the limitations, the negative consequences, and then we'll go through an anti-hype cycle of doom and gloom.
After that it will become just another tool, with some upsides and some downsides.


We've been through this cycle before.


The difference here is that the tool can mimic intelligence, so it can be harder to tell truth from fiction. Couple that with a populace that is less and less able to do analytical thinking already [another consequence of "teaching to the test"]... 'tis going to be interesting times.

I know many businesses don't want to quickly adopt unfamiliar technologies like AI that could disrupt established ways of operating. However, AI's advances mean companies that ignore adopting it may fall behind competitors leveraging its advantages.

My recommendation is to strategically incorporate AI into targeted areas first through controlled experiments - content creation, data analysis, coding assistance. This balanced integration allows you to safely transform portions of operations while building real-time understanding of AI's strengths and weaknesses.

Staying rigidly tied to old models is risky in the era of AI. But reckless overhauls are not prudent either. A middle path of prioritized experimentation lets leaders walk the line - gaining AI's upsides while ensuring responsible oversight and workforces policies are in place. Being an active learner with AI is key, rather being a passive doubter or denier.

I think the next disruption will be in executing processes using natural language and AI. If I can ask an application to book my flight tickets, or a hotel room using a natural language interface instead of forms, we've saved time and effort. Similarly, if we can get AI to execute a negotiation process based on a draft contract and engagement notes, we save time effort and money. These are examples of action-oriented AI deployment, rather than knowledge delivery-oriented solutions.

- Education paths - becoming a doctor is not going to be the top choice to a student, as AI can guide students based on their performance and ways of learning. "the distribution of careers is going to shift which can cause a major disruption in the work-force".
- Children's way of thinking - AI will make basic tasks like reading and writing and drawing obsolete, these are essential parts of the child's growth need to develop specific parts of the brain.
- Teaching methods - Teachers play a role in a student's life, as unconventional teaching methods come to view, teachers will have to adopt them to support the new generation resulting in a shortage of qualified personnel. 
- IOT analysis - AI can go to the bits and bites of these devices, with the right processing power, AI can and will provide a one time set up deal for all new IOT's removing the need to have a human.

Use cases are really unlimited and what we seen yesterday with Gemini it is just another window to the what's next.
I guess the multimodal capabilities of the LLM will unlock scenarios we are unable to predict.

Unlimited use cases, adding to the list is also L1 operations in IT Infra and NOC operations

We have seen the revolution that AI can bring to the industries and individual alike. The following are just some of the possibilities. 


However, we should be careful and use it with caution. It is also a confusing time for us all to combat the misinformation. AI still cannot detect what is true or fake information out there. It treats every data as a real information. 




1. Automated repetitive tasks: Increased productivity through automated virtual assistant, note taking, writing, email, calendar management, intelligent search and instant information retrieval at your fingertips.


2. Enhanced Decision Making with more real-time intelligent information and educated guess.

5. AI based intelligent defense system to equip and combat new era of Cybersecurity.

And, the list goes on.

The question is if it will actually be disrupted. AI can help you work smarter, faster and will change the process. Will it also create new - beyond imagination - content? Or is that up to the person that can work best with creating the right questions to ask AI.?

Firstly, I think there will also be a massive use of AI in reviewing articles and content across multiple research resources in academia. This will reduce current research review time for academics and allow quicker identification of potential research questions that have not been answered or require further validation. 

Secondly, I believe that AI will help in building quicker timelines for delivery of visual content for the gaming industry. The initial use of AI in allowing artists to visualise options during ideation stages will shorten delivery times and enhance the ability for quick changes.

Customer transformation: AI is revolutionizing how businesses interact with their customers. Chatbots, virtual assistants, and AI-driven personalization are reshaping customer service, making it more responsive and tailored to individual preferences, leveraging AI for data analytics decision-making. Supply chain optimization. Personalized marketing.

From my perspective I would add positive disruptions in healthcare, namely preventative healthcare through desease diagnostics, and patient recruitment for drug trials.
I have studied and contributed to research on this topic under the mentorsnhip of Regina Barzilay. AI's pattern recognition and predictive capabilities will become a game changer, that will aid healthcare professionals and patients equally.

1. Intelligent Document Processing is gaining lot of traction across industries and top automation products, using LLMs and Smart OCR to process documents,claims, invoices , receipts for touchless processing. 
2. Another avenue is the evolution Hyperautomation , being able to use complex ML models for discovery and end to end automation.

Initial ideation, outline creation, and expedited search functionality that can provide quick overview of contained knowledge. Researching existing information is faster than ever facilitating human thoughts rather than regurgitation.

AI's impact on the job market is a significant area of interest. As AI becomes more advanced, it will likely lead to job substitution in some areas. This shift will prompt businesses to adapt their workforce strategies to leverage AI's capabilities while ensuring employees have the skills needed for emerging roles. AI has reached every level of technology / Product / process / Industry


I do not see any place where AI will not play any role.  We can observe AI already being used in Medical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, documentation, education, security, Monitoring, CCTV, Stock market.. you name it.


AI will bring more efficiency like how computers are doing 40 years back to the society and organisation.

Focusing on healthcare delivery, AI has the potential to enhance patient outcomes, improve efficiency, and transform healthcare delivery. However, it’s crucial to strike a balance between technological advancements and maintaining the human touch in all areas of service.  I believe we will see it being used to deliver more personalized care plans, as well as in population health management to population data to identify health trends, predict disease outbreaks, and allocate resources effectively.

Corporate training and education in general will be impacted by AI. Previously it was very resource intensive to teach a person at their own pace, one on one, but with AI is feasible to customize training at a very granular level. In tech, the staff is only as productive as their skillset therefore more efficient training can allow organizations to be more productive and nimbler.

Additionally, if there is a “safe” way to use AI evaluate aptitude for different types of work then staff can be deployed in accordance with their aptitudes. Possibly even selecting management vs individual contributor paths based upon continuous scientific evaluation of their work - as opposed to who brings donuts and laughs at Executive jokes.  Managerial selection is largely subjective and although some decisions should be made based upon a feeling, there could be exceptional candidates wasting their talents.

 The reason I emphasized “safe” is because choosing tasks for people or shifting career paths based upon scientific analysis could be fertile ground for employment lawsuits.

Chatbots will be most helpful for both internal training and external customer services. The reason is that there are set policy documents which are the quality inputs into a chatbot. This allows for cross training of teams, training of new starters and also provide a consistent level of customer service externally. 


This use case is something that provides a low cost of entry for all companies.


Beyond this - as we can all easily acquire other skillset, the same roles that we have today could be democratized. eg, we can easily gain legal knowledge now given Gen AI is based on language, so this will equip us all for a different future of work.

The hype around GenAI is palpable. However, it's essential to tread carefully as the tangible wins are elusive and the associated costs are often ambiguous, making it challenging to define ROI.

The future of AI seems to be shifting towards aligning use cases with internal process handling for employees. While AI researchers advocate for "Agentic" approaches, I believe this is misguided. As an experienced automation practitioner and a pioneer in self-healing processes, I advocate for Multi-Agent Frameworks. These frameworks enable enterprises and their employees to achieve and sustain success more effectively.

AI will permeate every field, acting like a magic wand with applications in education, medicine, and even remote sensing. As a broad term, AI encompasses machine learning, neural networks, computer vision, LLMs, NLP, and more, often combining these technologies for various uses.
However note we will still need Magician to use the magic wand :-)

Bunch of AI tools we are using in L&D space, seeing remarkable results and elevated learner experience. Tools for content creation, feedback, simulations, gamification, ai powered English speaking, tools for engaging learner interactivity during virtual instructor led session etc.

AI technology for an organization that is not developing new AI tech but consuming it, its going to be a Performance enhancer across the value chain.
Think of it like when electricity was invented and it was distributed effectively lot of lifestyle , industrial etc got transformed from grounds up. Factories that could only operate at day time , can now work for 24 hours. Lot of Automation is brought to the table with various machines being invented. 


I am foreseeing the biggest benefit should be in health care sector.  The reason is currently in the world we can produce lot of Medicine but we dont have enough doctor to diagnose a patient on time and prescribe the right medicine.


I certainly feel startups are working to convert a Doctor brain & Diagnosis into some AI system so that we can create replica of a doctor. Even when doctor is sleeping the AI system of that doctor is working and helping patient. As doctor gains new knowledge, the right training the AI system will also get enhanced . 


Similarly the drug discovery, it takes years for a new drug to come to Market. With AI i strongly feel the cycle will be much shorter because of synthesis of various scenarios and combinations can  be digitized.  If i understand better, Google Deepmind is already unfolded many protein structure using AI. Digitally new drugs chemical structure can be tested on AI unfolded Protein structure and drug manufacturer can see the impact before even human trial or animal trial.

- personalization & recommendation engines e.g. better customer experience
- supply chain optimization e.g. inventory and predictions, reduced costs

Many of these we are already seeing and they will grow, become more accurate, and displace workers to other career duties

I'm going to fall back on the game-changing AI opportunities linked to 'machines as customers' and 'machine to machine' interfaces. I agree with peer comments on personalisation from the customer perspective as example - very valid. Where I see the cross-industry evolution is where the 'person' and also 'time' can be practically removed from the equation - quite literally. Who build and controls these platforms over which these interactions process will potentially completely transform the business models of many existing companies and it's a very exciting prospect to dig into and engage with. The challenge is the companies already on this topic - and we know who they are - will they disrupt your business tomorrow? So 'add to my list' 5. Machines as Customers.....

We use in customer support and product insights.  When a ticket is submitted, AI is helping parse the issue and suggest actions.  It can also help file a Jira automatically with tags.  Identifying duplicate Jira from a customer support issue is next step.  Also, resolving common issues in product, where customers want to find their subscription license or upgrade or refund is the next set of actions.  The ability to tie Ticketing systems, Confluence, Jira, public KB is powerful.

As pervasive innovation more than apps or platforms it will impact on processes and workflows leading a change management.

Regarding basic coding and debugging, I feel strongly that as junior technical staff rely more heavily on AI to generate code, their problem solving skills will wane and we will see a decline in system stability.  Problem solving skills grow when you do the work by hand.  When a tool generates code that you don't understand, how do you debug it?  I saw this impact previously when the first Java IDE's emerged - we went backwards in application quality before we went forwards.

Every industry and business has the opportunity to be disrupted. It's up to the organizational leadership to identify the right opportunity that aligns with their motivations and be disrupted. 

Product quality, design, development in a manufacturing industry are low hanging opportunities. 
Competitive intelligence, growth strategies, sales enablement, account management to call out a few in addition to your examples.

It depends on what it is meant as business disruption.
AI can disrupt the day to day responsibilities of those roles that perform trivial and repetitive tasks in administrative positions. These roles will face major disruptions.
On the other hand, these roles that require complex and critical thinking are far from being disrupted in the next few years.

Based on my daily workloads in marketing, I only see one disruptive quality of AI as of today:
- summarizing, crunching and analysing large amounts of data (data security should be considered)


All creation processes (text, video, code) heavily depend on sources (corp vs. public GenAI) and quality of prompting. At the moment, GenAI results are nothing but first drafts that need quite a bit of refining.


Currently, I am not confident enough in the results to consider implementing outward-facing AI, eg. users, customers, partners etc.

any routine task, helping to organize your thoughts, tasks, schedule.  Reminders.  Translation. All marketing functions - content, lead generation, prospect hunting, followup.  Search across the enterprise.  Deriving insights from larger amounts of data than possible through excel or PBI or other analytics tools.  Legal reviews of contracts, and proposals. I think the list is limited only by our experience with AI models and willingness to try things.

Apart from what is being mentioned, AI will also aid into accelerating reverse engineering efforts, analysis of legacy systems, modernization efforts, TLM activities to keep up with latest tech, and much more. Possibilities are endless, question is how can we control, govern and trust the decisions AI systems will make. Something to ponder.

I agree that AI transforms decision-making. However, the more we rely on AI for strategic analysis, the more we risk the illusion of control. AI can obscure the ‘why’ behind its recommendations, potentially leading to blind trust and unforeseen consequences. Maintaining human oversight and critical thinking will be crucial.

1. More content, less trust.
1.1 When enough AI generated content will be online, AI risks to quote itself, reducing its learning.
1.2 The effort to discern between real and fake info will be significant. Most people will not make the effort. The perceived subjective satisfaction will be the rule. Life will be perceived like a game - I know it is not real but I don't care. Sales environment will change dramatically.

2. New targets exposed to attackers. Having the Data, Information, Knowledge, Wisdom - with AI, the Knowledge and Wisdom will be also exposed to attackers using AI for creating fake info.
3. Risk of losing knowledge - while people are leaving the businesses (retirement, job cuts etc.) the knowledge will be passed to AI instead other people.
3.1 When AI fails, knowledge is lost
3.2 All knowledge will be inside the box. People with knowledge are needed to think outside the box.
4. Need approach for sales AI-to-AI. Markets tends to approach perfection, where information is known by all the participants. The profit will be hard to achieve.

- Education paths - becoming a doctor is not going to be the top choice to a student, as AI can guide students based on their performance and ways of learning. &#34;the distribution of careers is going to shift which can cause a major disruption in the work-force&#34;.
- Children&#39;s way of thinking - AI will make basic tasks like reading and writing and drawing obsolete, these are essential parts of the child&#39;s growth need to develop specific parts of the brain.
- Teaching methods - Teachers play a role in a student&#39;s life, as unconventional teaching methods come to view, teachers will have to adopt them to support the new generation resulting in a shortage of qualified personnel. 
- IOT analysis - AI can go to the bits and bites of these devices, with the right processing power, AI can and will provide a one time set up deal for all new IOT&#39;s removing the need to have a human.
