The flexibility and reliability of OGG are outstanding. I especially appreciate the real-time, log-based replication with minimal performance impact on the source or target systems. The support for heterogeneous databases and cross-platform replication is a huge advantage. With the Microservices Architecture manageability has significantly improved - especially possibility of using REST APIs, great GUI interface, implemented role-based access, and ability to run OGG in HUB setup, managing all from one place, this is incredibly useful for us. From one place you manage multiple OGG deployments for multiple reasons - upgrade, data replication, from Oracle to Oracle, from Oracle to Bigdata (Kafka). This is rock-solid solution for mission-critical environments.

ODI is an outdated tool with an obsolete architecture that requires the use of a database technology to function. The development interface is also outdated and needs a complete overhaul in terms of both performance and usability.
