Product: Databricks Marketplace

Dataset Variety Limits Value Despite Strong Integration in Databricks Marketplace

Likes and dislikes about

likes

The ability to incorporate new data products directly into the platform.

dislikes

The biggest limitation is the breadth and relevance of available datasets, which can vary significantly depending on your industry and is obviously subjective. For more specific use cases, such as UK retail, the options can feel quite limited. While the platform itself works well, teh overall value is constrained by the marketplace content rather than the technology. It can also take time to properly assess whether datasets are suitable before committing, and discovery isn't always as rich or detailed as it could be.
