Digital Learning Content Providers Reviews and Ratings

What are Digital Learning Content Providers?

Gartner defines a digital learning content provider as an organization that supplies on-demand education materials to support corporate learning. Content is typically offered in a variety of formats (e.g., video courses, assessments, hands-on projects) that cover a wide range of topics, including hard (technical) skills, soft (business) skills, and/or specialized compliance and safety. Most digital learning content providers offer their content through two channels: (1) Direct — Content is accessed through the provider’s proprietary basic learning platform. (2) API Integration — The provider’s catalog can be integrated within your existing LMS or LXP.

"Expanding Educational Boundaries with Coursera"

My favorite part of using Coursera is the plentitude of organizations and courses that are offered in one place. The first time I used Coursera was because the American Dream Academy had offered free enrollment into their courses on Coursera. It was a really useful platform as all of my courses that I had registered for were in one place, I was able to track my progress, and also see suggestions for other courses that would be beneficial in advancing my education. If I had the means to always use this product for all of my coursework, I definitely would as the process of learning various facets of information has been simplified with this platform.

"A comprehensive learning platform to learn, grow and upskill in your technical career"

Pluralsight is a great learning platform where you can find all technical courses for all programming languages and frameworks. The courses have skill level as per the user needs like beginner, advanced etc. They have a great feature called "Path" where they have accumulated all of the courses needed for a path for example becoming a Google Cloud Platform architect. It also has an option for the companies to define a custom path for the employees and add the courses which they would want their employees to take. They also have certifications for courses which are helpful to add to our resume as a proof of the technical skills you have. They also have courses tailed for specific roles or skills sets which makes it pretty easy for the users. Also the instructors are exceptional and have provided github repos and assignments for hands on exercises.

"Skillsoft Percipio's Edge Over other tools in Technical Skills Development"

As someone who has used other learning platforms, I've found that Skillsoft Percipio stands out as a more superior option, particularly for organizations that need to develop a wide range of skills across different teams. It offers a much more curated and standardized user experience. Although it has a vast catalogue, it has inconsistent product values. In contrast, Percipio's content is carefully vetted and organized, making it easier to navigate and find relevant and high quality training. Percipio boosts a broad catalogue of training sessions, including certification preparation support.

"Build basic and advanced skills in cloud computing"

Cloud academy has been a great platform for me to get introduced to cloud computing and learn the basics. Their library has a great collection on all major cloud platforms and their learning materials are always up to date to match the latest feature releases of the industry. They provide a lot of hands on exercises with the cloud hosted sandboxes. The exercises are very relevant to real world scenarios as well. Assessments and quizzes are provided at regular intervals throughout the course to do a self knowledge check.
