The automation around failover and recovery is the biggest advantage. It reduces risk and removes a lot of the pressure during incidents. The visibility into replication status and system health is also helpful for ongoing monitoring.

The changes the vendor deployed were a bit complex in nature and the vendor was able to provide line by line configuration items. However, there are many other ways to finish the configuration. It would have been better if more technical resources were provided to minimize the disruption within the internal IT team.
