Performance is good. Ecosystem of oracle is familiar as we have used it before and has good security features. Hybrid integration is good with other Azure services.

Security features and performance are the highlights

From an accounting perspective, this was an effective way to combine information from the customer and process it for billing.

Simple application migration. High availability, scalability and performance. No need to redesign or invest a lot of time in databases while migrating them to Azure. Possibility to bring your own Oracle licenses and reuse them.

Pricing is a bit complex as we are charged separately. and integration is limited with Azure

I did not find any issues while using Oracle or its database functions.

Oracle is a premium and high-performance mainly oriented to big Enterprise companies, what condition the price to high. RACI model is not always clear between the company and vendor. Learning curve - high investments in employee training and keeping the knowledge inside the organization. Consideration of the vendor lock - 2 vendors with their own understanding of the future and all problems and shifts in their partnership will be mirrored in your systems and applications.

I have very good experience running Oracle databases within the Azure cloud. Core idea is amazing: Oracle high performance and accessibility together with Microsoft Azure services in the cloud. Low latency access due to hardware being very close to the cloud servers, in the same data centers.
