Performance of Nutanix Cloud Platform Across Market Features
Nutanix Cloud Platform Likes & Dislikes
1. Single management & operation pane with PRISM including key features such as capacity forecasting, automation tools. 2. Supports both all flash and hybrid storage combinations in a single cluster and is a hardware agnostic solution giving the customer the flexibility to customize and select the combination of compute, storage and hypervisor based on their actual requirements. 3. Support for multiple hypervisors, one can use its native AHV or can even use ESXI and Hyper-V offering wide acceptance in the virtualization market.
1. exceptionally simple, unified management (prism & automation tools) 2. flexible, integrated hypervisor (ahv) with strong performance and lower costs 3. industry-leading hybrid and multicloud capabilities (nc2, cloud native aos, external storage integration)
What I like most about Nutanix Cloud Platform is its exceptional simplicity and unified management. The Prism Management interface provides a true single pane of glass, consolidating compute, storage, virtualization and networking into one intuitive console. This hyperconverged approach eliminates the complexity of managing separate infrastructure silos. It dramatically simplifies day-to-day operations, from deploying new workloads to monitoring system health and scaling resources.
1. The platform lags behind its competition when it comes to micro segmentation and advanced networking features. Nutanix flow needs more development in the advanced security features segment. 2. DC and DR replication is advertised as a native feature and free, however, practical deployment needs to be aware of the bandwidth constraints before using the feature if one doesn't have good network bandwidth between the DC and DR site. 3. Support for containers is not mature and is more of a lightweight container orchestration platform, so if an organization wants to run both enterprise-level container workloads and VMs from a single platform, then it may need to integrate with other solutions.
1. AHV still has limitations compared to competitor 2. rebuilds and maintenance can be time-consuming 3. limited legacy support
What I dislike most about the product or service are: 1. Higher initial cost than competitors 2. Non-user friendly event alerts 3. Steep learning curve requiring external consultants 4.Difficult VM to migrate from Nutanix to Vmware.

Nutanix Cloud Platform Reviews and Ratings

HCI/DHI Powerhouse Held Back by Micro-Segmentation and Microservices Gaps
For quite some time, it has been in the leader segment of HCI and yet again in the Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure Category. The reason why its adoption gradually increased is because it came out as a single stack and redefined the HCI category with unified management, storage and compute in a single pane. This gives the customer the flexibility to choose both hybrid and all-flash storage in a single cluster. However, to adopt it an organization needs to invest in training and enablement of the resources. - IT Manager50M-1B USDBankingReview Source
Stable Operations and Integrated Hypervisor Noted, With Some Advanced Feature Difficulties
my experience with nutanix has been generally positive. the platform is easy to manage thanks to the intuitive Prism interface, and day-to-day operations (like provisioning vms or scaling the cluster) are fast and reliable. performance has been stable, and using ahv helped simplify the environment while reducing licensing overhead. On the downside, some advanced features requires a bit of ramp-up, and major upgrades still demand careful planning. the initial investment can also be high, especially with premium hardware or non-ahv hypervisors. overall, though, nutanix delivers solid value and a simplified infrastructure experience. - Manager Of It Services50M-1B USDBankingReview Source
Unified Nutanix Platform Simplifies Operations But Presents Cost and Learning Barriers
My overall experience with Nutanix Cloud Platform is a balanced one. On the plus side, it perfectly unifies on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructure, drastically cutting administrative overhead by consolidating compute and storage management, and runs reliably for all our production workloads. That said, initial onboarding has a steep learning curve for new admins, licensing costs are prohibitively high for small teams, and customer support lags during critical outages. It is a strong enterprise-grade tool, but requires careful upfront planning to work around its key drawbacks. - SENIOR MANAGER<50M USDIT ServicesReview Source
Unified Management And Performance Praised, Migration And Cost Pose Key Challenges
My overall experience with NCP has been pretty positive. The platform delivers on simplifying hybrid cloud management by unifying things like compute, storage, and networking into a single software-defined layer. The platform is resilient and performance is strong. The downside would be that pricing can be a tad high depending on the features being used. - IT NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Nutanix delivers exceptionally for both users and engineers
Superb product matched by truly first class support. Only very minor issues experienced in nearly 10 years of use and never production affecting.
