Nutanix Cloud Platform

I've genuinely enjoyed the expericence of using Nutiax's hyperconverged platform, and its an easy five star rating. The reliability of the solutionstands out above everything else. But what elevates the experience i the people behind the product, every nutanix expert i've interacted with has been knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping.

Nutanix have been a solid partner since day one. We ran a pretty tough POC and were unable to break it, we had one issue before go live that got exposure right up to director level and we have found that all issues have been taken very seriously and all the stops pulled out when necessary. Nutanix gives us one pane of glass for all our clusters which makes management and monitoring a lot easier for our small team. We operate a metro cluster, active passive, accross oyr data centres, this was simple to set up and the fact we can do regular failover checks with no impact to live gives a lot of confidence Migration from our existing Hypervisor was made simple with Nutanix move and the 400 VM's came across with few issues We had to upgrade the memory and disk on our production system, this was all done live. We took one node out of the cluster, added the new components, brought it up, waited for metadata to update, and then rinse and repeat. No downtime for users and transparent to the business. Support has been excellent overall and we rarely have to wait any length of time before we are contacted after submitting a ticket.

Nutanix Cloud Platform offers a modern and complete approach to server virtualization that goes beyond just a traditional hypervisor. Its HCI (Hyper Converged Infrastructure) brings compute, storage and networking into a single unified system, along with automation and hybrid cloud capabilities. This makes it easier for organizations to upgrade their infrastructure while keeping things simple.

Overall, my experience with Nutanix Cloud Platform has been quite good, though there's room for improvement. Ultimately, it's a mature and stable platform, well-suited for professional environments. This greatly simplifies the management of complex infrastructures. One of the most noteworthy aspects is the reduced workload on daily operations and the feeling of having a coherent and well-integrated solution.

For quite some time, it has been in the leader segment of HCI and yet again in the Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure Category. The reason why its adoption gradually increased is because it came out as a single stack and redefined the HCI category with unified management, storage and compute in a single pane. This gives the customer the flexibility to choose both hybrid and all-flash storage in a single cluster. However, to adopt it an organization needs to invest in training and enablement of the resources.
