With our second hardware refresh in place, Nutanix has been very helpful from design to purchase to installation. We have utilized Starwind Virtual SAN (VSAN) as an iscsi server alternative in a Hyper-V based installation. We ran a 30-day trial license in a lab environment. The Starwind VSAN solution was used as a software-defined iSCI storage solution for an imminent SQL Server cluster installation. This allowed us for a fairly quick integration solution for our SQL Server Cluster shared disk requirements, without the need to invest in a high-cost Storage Area Network (SAN) solution.

Our overall experience with Vmware VSAN has been excellent. We have been a user of this product from when it was first introduced in beta. At that time, I would not be writing this type of review due to the many negatives that came along with it like performance based on hardware. There was also misinformation on the hardware that was compatible and which drivers actually worked well (or at all). Eventually we purchased VMWare's hyper converged servers with VSAN included. This was around version 6.0. From that point forward, VSAN has been a game changer for us. Rock solid. NO performance issues at all and no driver based issues. It seemed like they worked out the kinks in the VSAN used in the Hyper Converged server stack that they were then selling.

Huayun HCI has been running smoothly for 6 months. At present, some business systems on VMware platform have been migrated to Huayun HCI platform initially. Overall business operation has been reported positively, and no exception occurs with the business system. In daily administration, the Chinese interface is relatively user-friendly, and the operation logic is relatively clear.
