The Native Reporting Engine and Domain Security model are the platform's strongest assets. Unlike other suites that require a separate data warehouse for complex cross functional analysis, Workday allows us to build Matrix and Composite reports that pull real time data directly from the transactional engine. Because security is baked in at the domain level, we don't have to worry about sensitive compensation data leaking into a general headcount report the system automatically redacts fields based on the viewer's security group. The ability to drill down from a high level dashboard directly into a specific worker's business process history provides a level of auditability that is difficult to replicate in modular HR stacks.
