We have been using Alertus for a period of time but had to resort to another competitor in order to achieve the goals we had set to ourselves. The services capabilities were not adequate and the product seemed not mature enough.

The desktop version of Alertus works well - notifications are easy-to-see and work exactly when they're supposed to. Outside of desktop notifications for regularly occurring events, I have not had to use the Alertus app so cannot speak about its capabilities.

In 2001, an F3 tornado ripped through the University of Maryland campus. There was no warning, and two students ‚Äî sisters ‚Äî were killed. The tornado caused dozens of injuries and millions of dollars in damages.

An idea was born to engineer a mass notification solution that can be implemented anywhere and activated quickly to help prevent another tragedy. 

Alertus was founded in 2002 and has focused its efforts on developing superior lifesaving notification solutions ever since.
