We rolled this out to manage the phones and tablets used by our branch staff, relationship managers and senior managers. Before this we were basically tracking devices in spreadsheets and doing manual setup which was a total time sink.The biggest win is the centralized console. I can push security policies, lock devices down to only our banking apps and remotely wipe a lost device without someone having to drive out to a branch. Moreover, the enrollment is straight forward and the reporting is useful for internal audits which matters a lot in banking.

SENIOR ANALYST IT OPERATIONS

The Windows patching and general Windows endpoint management work reliably.
The console gives you decent visibility and helps consolidate basic remote control and patch deployment into a single pane of glass.
The non-windows management is incredibly weak, Mac and Linux patching simply isn't up to the point where we completely gave up and removed our MacOS endpoints from Endpoint Central entirely.
To make matters worse, recent agent updates have stripped away critical operational flexibility, we can no longer schedule reboots after patch updates to custom times that align with our users workflows.
Lastly, tier-1 chat support is essentially useless. No matter the issue they blindly demand system logs. We bought an endpoint management tool specifically to avoid logging into individual systems, yet chasing down logs manually from broken endpoints is an absolute pain.

Endpoint Central provides a lot of power and distinct functionality. knowledge of scripting and heavy customisation turns this from fit-for-purpose out of the box, to a very powerful tool at a very reasonable price point.
