Gartner defines an endpoint protection platform (EPP) as security software designed to protect managed endpoints — including desktop PCs, laptop PCs, virtual desktops, mobile devices and, in some cases, servers — against known and unknown malicious attacks. EPPs provide capabilities for security teams to investigate and remediate incidents that evade prevention controls. I feel that ThreatDown is one of the best enterprise antivirus services. The installation is easy (either an .msi or a weblink) and their portal is easy to use. They are also always making modifications to their portal to make it more helpful. The one thing that can be annoying about ThreatDown is that if you don't add a specific piece of software to a policy, then it may flag it and not allow the download, but that rarely ever happens. This is something to keep an eye on for especially when you are trying to add an additional security app to your device.
