My experience is mixed because while GitLab effectively centralizes projects, it creates a barrier for non-technical team members. The platform is clearly designed by and for developers.

I think GitLab agile planning features such as GitLab Issues, GitLab Epics, Issue boards, Issue weights and burnout charts are decent add ons to get started with software development. Though there are improvements and new integrations required in the future, it still has good potential to compensate for the agile project management.
